Spanish restaurant chosen on the top airport restaurant list.

Spanish Chef Dani García’s La Moraga restaurant at Málaga Airport has been chosen by CNN World News as one of the world’s best airport restaurants, a category that has captured the attention of international media in the past two years.

Located in Terminal 3 of Málaga Airport, La Moraga is a stylish gastrobar serving contemporary tapas and meals featuring some Dani García trademarks as cherry gazpacho. The Chef describes La Moraga as an establishment where everyone can enjoy small, reasonably-priced portions of his love for Andalusian food, executed with the techniques he learned from fine cuisine. Good cuisine, low prices, simple manners, direct and caring service, an inviting atmosphere, and a well cared and comfortable décor summarize the La Moraga experience.

The on-the-air meals-for-purchase era has made on-the-ground food more prominent and necessary. This may be the reason for which many airports decided to turn around their dining facilities, raising up the level and variety of their restaurant offer with cozy locations and menus created by some of the world’s top chefs.

Healthier eating habits and media exposure have stimulated consumers to pursue more enjoyable dining experiences, giving birth to the creation of airport locales where travelers can enjoy quality food in fashionable surroundings, a trend that has coincided with the gastrobar boom and many Michelin-starred chef’s quest for a business diversification that ensures profitability and reaches broader audiences.

Dani García works in the international expansion of the La Moraga concept. The Chef plans to open a project next September in New York, although it is yet undetermined whether it will be a new La Moraga location or not.
