Michelin-star chef Francis Paniego and his wife, Luisa Barrachina, have more than just gastronomy to be proud of. Their gastrobar, Tondeluna, has just been awarded the 2012 FAD Award for Interior Architecture. The FAD Awards for Architecture and Interiors are the most prestigious architectural recognitions on Spain.
Tondeluna, which has been open for almost a year in the Spanish city of Logroño (La Rioja), was designed by the firm Picado de Blas Arquitectos. This bright and cheerful space provides a welcoming environment in which diners interact directly with the kitchen.
Additionally, several Laus Awards were handed down for design and communication to the following companies in the gastronomic sphere: the Querida Carmen brand by BCN Gourmet won for the design of its range of packs and labels; restaurant industry giants Grupo Tragaluz won multiple awards in the categories of coordinated items and graphics applied in spaces; and La Vinoteca won for naming.
