National Competition Gets Underway
The National Pinchos and Tapas Competition, held annually in Valladolid, has gotten underway with the opening of inscriptions for this year’s contest.

This much-anticipated annual event, which is now in its eighth year, will be held the capital city of Castile-Leon from November 5-7, 2012. As with other years, this competition promises to bring together the country’s most talented, creative, innovative and skilled chefs to compete for the top prize in this National Pinchos and Tapas Competition in Valladolid.
This year’s jury will be presided over by prestigious restaurateur Albert Adrià , and, as with other years, the winner will take home a cash prize of 6,000 Euros. The participating tapas, prepared by sixty chefs from all over Spain, must have a cost of 1.20 Euros or less,. They will be available for the public to try in different bars and restaurants all over the city during the Semana de Tapa, which will take place in Valladolid from November 5-11, 2012.
