One of the most exciting announcements with regards to this annual event, now in its fifth year, is the invitation of Colombia and La Rioja as the guest country and Spanish autonomous community, respectively.

Extending the invitation to Colombia seems like a natural choice for this event, which has long set its sights on Latin America with editions hosted in Brazil and Mexico. The following Colombian chefs will be representing their countries this year at Millesimé Madrid: Catalina Vélez, of Restaurante Kiva (Cali); Leonor Espinosa, of Leo Cocina and Cava (Bogota) and Mark Rausch, of Criterión (Bogota).

As the invited Spanish region, La Rioja will also be bringing a strong culinary presence to this three- day event, with participating chefs such as Francis Paniego, of El Portal de Echaurren; José Félix Rodríguez, of La Galería; Alberto Andrés, of El Rincón de Alberto, and Jesús Sáez, of Casa Toni in San Vicente de Sonsierra.

In addition to these prestigious invitees, this event will continue to be a Who’s Who of gastronomic maestros with presentations and representations by the likes of Óscar Velasco (Santceloni, Madrid), Jordi Cruz (Abac, Barcelona), Patzi Eceiza (Zaldiarán, Vitoria), Marcos Morán (Casa Gerardo, Prendes), Daniel López (Kokotxa, San Sebastián), Marcelo Tejedor (Casa Marcelo, Santiago), Yayo Daporta (Yayo Daporta, Cambados), Javier Aranda (Piñera, Madrid) and Senén González (Sagartoki, Vitoria).

Don’t miss what the organizers are calling, “An exciting journey through flavors and textures”!
