Galician Pie Festival in Allariz (Fiesta de la Empanada en Allariz)

The Empanada Festival has been held on the banks of the river Arnoia (Galicia) since 1971 and is popular with residents of Allariz and visitors alike, who flock to enjoy the more than twenty varieties of empanada (a pastry pie) made in this area. The party atmosphere is emphasized with street parades, processions, concerts, open-air dances and sporting events.
