SIAL

The Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) is organizing a Spanish Pavilion at the SIAL trade fair taking place from 21 to 25 October 2012 at the Parc d’Expositions de Paris-Nord, Villepinte.

This will be the 25th event for this food and drink sector fair, which is held every two years and is targeted exclusively at professionals. Over 136,000 representatives from the world’s leading food and drink companies are expected to attend the event. Its size and importance mean that the fair is only comparable to the ANUGA trade fair in Germany, held in odd-numbered years, and ALIMENTARIA BARCELONA, held in even-numbered years. Visitors will be looking mainly to find out about new market trends and latest advances, new products and new suppliers.

Other activities at SIAL 2012:

- SIAL INNOVATION is an area serving as a commercial platform for highlighting innovative products. It is open to all exhibitors at no additional cost. The space is visited by 75% of visitors and also by specialist journalists attending the fair.

- A series of talks, meetings and discussions is planned on topics such as nutrition, sustainable development, fair trade, health and wellbeing.
