Oleum

Oleum is the restaurant of the Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña MNAC (National Art Museum of Catalonia). It opened in May 2005 and is managed by Vilaplana Catering, part of the Compass Group. Oleum offers updated Mediterranean cuisine, based on the use of produce of the highest quality. Oleum is located in the unusual Salón del Trono (Throne Room), so named because it was where King Alfonso XIII (1886-1941) inaugurated the International Expo of 1929. With capacity for 80 people, Oleum has an area of 230 m2 / 2475 sq ft with exceptional views of Barcelona through its large windows, which are reflected and multiplied in the mirrors in the ceiling.
