Located in the heart of the historic Las Letras neighborhood, El Caldero Restaurant has been serving up exquisitely prepared traditional cuisine from the region of Murcia for over 35 years.
Its specialties focus on the region’s wonderful fish and rice dishes, whose ingredients are delivered to establishment’s kitchen directly from the port of Cabo de Palos in season. These traditional dishes have made this area famous throughout Spain, as has its renowned fruit and vegetable crops.
The restaurant’s varied menu includes a selection of traditional Murcian tapas and starters, such as morcilla con piñones (black sausage with pine nuts) and revuelto de bacalao al aroma de cebollino (scrambled eggs with cod and chive essence), to name a few, but the main attraction is of course the expertly prepared rice and fish dishes that are so hard to find in the Spanish capital.
Meals are best accompanied with a bottle of wine from El Caldero’s ample selection, and enjoyed in the pleasant and bright dining room.
