Serrano’s Bodega two stores in Norway’s capital city Oslo, are a place where Norwegians will find easy to bring the delights of Spanish cuisine into their homes. With its wide array of food products such as Serrano ham, sausages, cheeses, olive oils, and preserves, the first branch of the shop (which opened in 2006), was so successful that the company deemed 2009 was time for a new location. In the new shop, the owners introduced a few novel concepts in order to make the preparation of Spanish foods even more accessible to Norwegian customers. There is a tapas bar on the shop premises which enable customers to sample products before they buy them. Owners also continue implementing innovative ideas such as stocking gift baskets, giving tips on what sort of wines would go well with each food, and providing recipes and cookbooks through which customers can learn how to properly prepare the different products. In this way, Serrano’s Bodega hopes to not only sell Spanish foods, but also to teach people how to incorporate them into their daily menus.
