Chef Matthew Lightner took part in 2009 in ICEX Young Chefs Culinary Scolarship in Spain. Three years later he manages Atera Restauran in New York.

Inspired by his time with Andoni Luis Aduriz in Mugaritz, Lighter declares himself a follower of techno emotional cuisine and his aim is to put customers back in touch with nature while dining in a big city like New York. Product, nature and science are the main ingredients in his cuisine proposing a sense of enjoyment of food.
