ICEX, the Economy and Trade Offices in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and the Burgos Chamber of Commerce are organizing presentations of Spanish Food and Wines. The events will be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 26th and Singapore on July 28th.
The fair will be targeting professionals and aims to provide a forum in which Spanish companies can network with importers and distributors in Malaysia and Singapore with a view to penetrating or expanding their distribution in this market.
45 Spanish companies and wineries will be taking part, showing their wines, olive oil, table olives, cheese, fish conserves and all kinds of other products. Alongside the fair and to further raise the profile of Spanish products, a series of seminars will be taking a look at olive oil and table olives. The Malaysia event also includes a seminar on Spanish wines led by Roderick Wong, President of Malaysian sommeliers.
Spanish food and drink exports to Malaysia totaled 13 million Euros in 2010. In Singapore they totaled 26 million euros, an increase of 44% compared to 2009 figures.
