'Tapas, Pinchos y Banderillas' 11 th Aranda de Duero Competition
Organized by ASOHAR, the Asociación de Hosteleros de Aranda y La Ribera, this year’s contest will be the tenth of its kind, marking a decade of fierce competition for the prizes that are handed out for the Best Hot Tapa, Best Cold Tapa, Most Original Tapa, Best Pairing and Best Tapa made with lechazo (suckling lamb). While some of the winners will be selected by the public, the top award for the Tapa de Oro (golden tapa) will be chosen by a panel of professional judges from the restaurant and hospitality industry.
As with other years, the Celiac Disease Association of Aranda will be awarding a prize for the Best Gluten-Free Tapa, indicated on the official list by the symbol of a crossed-off sprig of wheat. This year’s competition will feature fourteen different gluten-free tapas.
